About Us

At Freese Elementary School we work collaboratively to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning. Our mission is to work as a strong partnership of staff, parents and community members to create a challenging and supportive environment which promotes academic excellence and social competence to become confident, successful, and contributing members of our global society.

As a magnet school, we educate our students with state-approved common core curriculum while integrating arts and culture. Those subjects are woven into academic work to enrich learning and teach students a broader global perspective.

We apply rigorous standards to our learning, using multiple measures of assessment to ensure their learning remains on target. We believe in being accountable to parents and the community and most of all, to our students. Please feel free to see our test scores and other academic measurements on the Academic Report Card (the SARC) on our website.

Students have opportunities to participate in visual arts, dance and music throughout the school year. We partner with local arts organizations to keep our magnet program enriching and lively.

Arts and Culture Magnet

The Freese Arts and Culture Magnet program is very special. In a time when arts programs have been severely cut from schools, Freese students are fortunate to have a thriving program where every student experiences arts education in the areas of visual arts, music, dance .Through a variety of arts rotations, every student has the opportunity to express and expand his or her own talents.
